PAGE 1 Top row: Gold, silver, copper, iron Second row Hematite, lead, nickel, tin Third row: Gray quartzite, white quartzite, red/orange quartzite, blue/green quartzite Fourth row: Tiunon, sand, obsidian, limestone Fifth row: Heat, cold, strike, shape/form In Noarinot culture, blacksmiths, jewlers, and priests who work with the earthly elements are considered to be "alchemists". They are held in high regard because their craft is laborous and time-consuming; they also require an unusual enviroment to carry out their work: fire and dry rooms are not part of an average esan's every day life, and learning to deal with the hot, dry air of the smithies takes training and determination. On this page are listed all of the metals and their associated elements known to Noarinot alchemists, as well as the more common and important of the stones, temperature, and the two actions most fundamental to metalwork. |
